Share: St. Ambrose College of Education Holds Matriculation

St. Ambrose College of Education (SACE) organised its 14th Matriculation ceremony for two hundred and six (206) freshmen and women on Friday, 17th March 2023.

It was a beautiful academic ritual well attended by Administrators, Faculty and Students of the College. The Guest of Honour was Most Rev. Mathew Kwasi Gyamfi, Bishop of Sunyani Catholic Diocese and the Founder of the College.

Most Rev. Mathew Gyamfi commended the College Principal and staff for staying true to the Vision and Mission of St. Ambrose College and their commitment to be part of the Ambrosian family despite the several attractive employment avenues available.  He charged the students to be studious in their studies and to also make good friends. He advised that the friends they make while on campus would be their social capital in some years to come.

The College Principal, Rev. Fr. George Kyeremeh welcomed the freshmen and women to the Ambrosian family. While congratulating them on the feat of gaining admission into the College, he cautioned them to work assiduously to merit continuous stay in the college. He admonished them to avoid acts of indiscipline, abide by their Matriculation Oath and the Core Values of the College.

In his speech, the Principal mentioned that in fulfilment of the College’s pledge to be Gender Responsive, Sixty-One percent (61%) of the current admissions were allotted to women.

Awards were given to students who exceled in the 2021/2022 Academic Year. These awards are to motivate the continuing students to excel in their various programmes of study.

  • Principal’s Award

The College Principal, Rev. Fr. George Kyeremeh, also sponsored awards that were given to the Overall Best Students for the Level 200 and 300 cohorts. The Overall Best Students per Cohort went to Mr. Paul Boateng, a Level 200  JHS Education student and Mr. Benjamin Takyi Senior, a Level 300 Primary Education student.

The MATTGEO Scholarship Scheme also awarded Miss Esther Kwartemaa and   Mr. Benjamin Takyi Senior as the Overall Best Male and Female students, respectively, for the 2021/2022 Academic Year.
